The 50th anniversary of Effeta!

Today is a special day: the 50th anniversary of Effeta's activities!

Since September 6, 1971, the Sisters of the Daughters of Saint Dorothy have been in Bethlehem to care for deaf children, fulfilling the wish of Pope Paul VI.

Over the years, the school has changed and expanded, welcoming more and more students. Unfortunately, what hasn't changed is the high number of deaf children born in Palestine, especially in the poorest villages.

Today, Effeta welcomes 180 boys and girls every year, offering them an educational path from kindergarten to high school diploma.

Every day, the sisters, teachers, and speech therapists lovingly care for the students, who grow up in a peaceful environment tailored to their needs, guiding them through their education and speech rehabilitation to learn to speak.

Effeta is not just a school; it's a true family!

Let's celebrate together this important anniversary, wishing the Institute the ability to welcome even more deaf boys and girls in the future.
